We have really enjoyed working with Wen. Our daughter joined play therapy with a lot of change in her life. She learned a lot of coping mechanisms and enjoyed her time there.

Wen provided my daughter additional support through play at a tricky time for her. School was causing some behaviour that was difficult for her peers: pushing, kicking, breaking Lego.

My daughter began play therapy and the entire process was positive not just for her but also myself. Wen talked me through the stages, listened and asked questions about my child and me as a parent. I felt that even before the therapy sessions had begun we were being seen and understood.

My daughter loved her playtime and was eager to attend, saying she loved Wen. Since her play therapy there has been no return to the behaviour that was causing concern. I've had none of the dreaded notes from school. A resounding success and very positive experience.

When my daughter seemingly all of a sudden decided she no longer wanted to go to school for the second term of first class, myself and my husband had no idea what to do. When that same beautiful little girl turned aggressive and abusive toward me and her father, I knew I needed to reach out for help.

I contacted Wen and from the very first phone call she really put me at ease and helped me to see that I had the strength and the ability to help my struggling little girl.

We embarked on a journey of parent sessions while we waited for a place in play therapy for Ariyah. These sessions have been life changing, helping us to see that Ariyah was not the problem. Yes, she was struggling, but she needed us to support her through it.

Wen helped us to discover the skills we needed not only to support Ariyah but also to support each other, to understand why she had been behaving the way she was, and how our response to that behaviour affected the outcomes.

Every visit Wen celebrated our achievements with us and we really felt seen and heard and, most importantly, guided.

We are now a much stronger parenting team and much more able to deal with the challenges family life presents, not just with our beautiful daughter but with our two amazing boys also.

Ariyah is a much happier child these days but still needs support and will soon be starting her play therapy journey with Wen. I’m very excited to see where it leads.

When Liam started seeing Wen, he was really struggling. As his parents, it was incredibly difficult to watch and we often felt at a loss about how best to help him. At home he was having frequent outbursts that were disruptive and left us feeling unsure about what to do.

Liam was very reluctant to try play therapy at first. We honestly thought he might not even get out of the car. But from the very beginning he and Wen seemed to click, and she just understood him. He quickly began to love the sessions, especially the games and activities.

Since working with Wen, we've seen a huge change in Liam. He has grown in confidence and seems much happier and more content. He's far less argumentative at home and really opened up to us and to his peers. Even other adults have commented on the difference in him and how much more easily he engages with them.

Wen also spent time working with us as parents. We had some sessions with her before Liam began play therapy, and a follow-up session once he finished. These helped us better understand some of the challenges we were facing as a family. She helped us to see that some of the conflicts we were experiencing as a family weren't as significant as they felt at the time. Once we adjusted our mindset, things naturally became calmer and more relaxed at home.

Wen's approach is very much a holistic one that supports the whole family, and it truly works. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to any family going through a difficult time.

Before starting play therapy, Brodie was really struggling with routine and self regulation. Brodie would sometimes find himself in a precarious situation due to the lack of routine and structure he would allow into his day. Brodie struggled with regulating his emotions and expressing them.

Brodie started play therapy with Wen as part of a programme in his pre-school. Myself and his dad were apprehensive at the start as we felt there would be no fix to the struggles Brodie has. Wen completely changed our lives as a family unit.

After a short few weeks of working with Wen in play therapy, Brodie began structuring his routine, listening more frequently at home and his tantrums and behaviour improved a lot as he was now able to express his emotions verbally which made it easier to understand him and how he is feeling. Brodie is also now able to self regulate and understand his feelings.

I would recommend Wen and her play therapy sessions to any parent with a child who finds emotional regulation difficult, or appears to be having continuous tantrums. Wen is fantastic at what she does.

Initially we thought signing up for play therapy was going to help our son, but actually Wen was so insightful it was helpful with our parenting and personally also. Our son has gotten so much from his time with Wen and they have built a beautiful relationship. She has helped him with some big life changes and coached us also, which has made such a big difference.

My son was lucky to avail of 18 play therapy sessions with Wen.

At the beginning my son lacked confidence, eye contact, and was overstimulated most of the time, which resulted in lack of attention in preschool and reckless impulsive behaviour that could be a risk to himself at times. I had a meeting with Wen before the first session and discussed my concerns and difficulties.

Within two or three sessions I noticed a difference and he was paying attention more. Wen was a great support coach for myself also and gave advice and guidance with how to deal with certain situations, and it was also explained to me the different stages of play therapy.

By the end of the 18 sessions, my son was opening up with his feelings, he was thinking before he acted, and engaged in safer fun. Attention improved majorly, there were a lot less meltdowns, and when we would have a bad day it was easily resolved. His social, communication skills, and confidence have advanced significantly also.

Wen regularly checked in with me and we had two or three meetings in between sessions with constructive feedback and further guidance. I would highly recommend Wen and will be using her services in the future if needed. Thank you for everything, a very grateful mummy.

This was our first experience with play therapy and I would highly recommend. My daughter was going through a difficult time and from her first session she relaxed in Wen's company immediately and Wen created a safe, playful environment which she looked forward to attending every week.

Parent sessions were always extremely helpful and gave us an opportunity to gain support where we needed and gave us tools and knowledge to support our child and family.

Our son absolutely loved going to Wen's sessions and was always excited for the next visit. He came out smiling every single time and was always disappointed when the sessions had ended. Wen built a natural, trusting rapport with him so quickly, and it was clear he felt safe, understood, and genuinely cared for.

Play therapy sessions have helped not only my son but us as a family to understand and help him. My son has really enjoyed his play therapy sessions and loved to go each week. It was a long journey for him but Wen never rushed him or us as a family. It took over 25 sessions for him but each one meant something and was a step closer to how his life has changed today.

Wen worked with us as a family and we could express our fears and worries we had. Knowing that we're all working together was a great help.

My son went into play therapy full of fear and anxiety, not communicating with Wen and not expressing his worries to us, his family. He now expresses himself, has more confidence, and is able to use his skills to get his worries across using words instead of being withdrawn and full of anxiety.
